Background & Expertise
James’s research is in Health Informatics, primarily around semantic tooling for research processes and the application of Blockchain technology to healthcare. This research has focussed on enabling the reuse of medical records in research-oriented environments whilst ensuring requisite privacy preserving mechanisms are put in place. His current research in the application of Blockchain technology is centred around techniques for recording and sharing patient consent for the use of medical data and the recording transparent, privacy-preserving, records of medical data reuse.
